[dt. »Geräteschacht«] die, Konzept für PC-Erweiterungen, das statt der üblichen Schächte Einbauschubladen vorsieht, die durch Controller und Firewire-Schnittstellen (Firewire) den Einbau neuer Geräte erheblich erleichtern. Die Device Bay gehörte zum SIPC und konnte sich wie dieser nicht durchsetzen.
